The precision cylindrical grinding machine with a practical CB cycle control system for the heaviest workpieces and maximum lengths. The highly rigid machine bed supports workpieces weighing up to 4,000 kg without any distortion. Combined with variable center distances of up to 6,000 mm and a grinding wheel measuring 750 x 80 x 304.8 mm, this model sets the standard for cycle machining in large-component manufacturing.

    Hardware

    Robust Base Structure: The heavily ribbed, heavy-duty cast machine bed guarantees excellent static and dynamic rigidity as well as optimal vibration damping during continuous operation.

    Precision guideways: All linear guides are designed as V-shaped flat slideways. The ground and hand-scraped cast surface, combined with a TURCITE-B® coating, ensures maximum vibration damping and the highest surface finish during cylindrical machining.

    Ball screws (X/Z) & glass scales (X): The feed and longitudinal axes are equipped as standard with high-precision ball screws, and the X-axis features optical, linear glass scales for direct, high-precision position feedback (Z-axis optional).

    Manual Axis Extension (B-Axis): Flexibly expandable with a manually swiveling B-axis (spindle head for external, face, and internal grinding spindles) for precise and flexible adaptation to various grinding tasks.

    Automatic Central Lubrication: A fully automatic circulating lubrication system continuously supplies the guideways and moving elements of all axes with lubricating oil, ensuring low-maintenance operation.

    Safe Full-Enclosure: The standard enclosed cabin effectively contains emissions, ensures clean air in the workshop, and makes a significant contribution to maximum workplace safety during daily operation.

    Flexible satellite handwheel: During setup, all axes can be moved with extreme precision using a mobile handwheel (selectable increments: 1 µm, 10 µm, or 100 µm).

    Software

    Proprietary G+H software: The dialog-driven control system is based on a high-performance industrial PC. Entering all data is extremely straightforward and menu-driven through direct interaction—no knowledge of DIN code programming is required.

    Advanced cycle chaining: In fully automatic operation, up to 8 grinding operations per workpiece can be conveniently linked, managed, and copied. A detailed breakdown of all available processes can be found below in the technical specifications.

    Integrated workpiece and profile database: Ensures clear management and storage of process data for up to 50 workpieces, 10 grinding wheels, and 10 dressers. This guarantees minimal setup times for recurring jobs.

    Automatic Dressing & Compensation: Program-controlled dressing is performed directly from the workpiece headstock or tailstock, with the respective dressing amounts being compensated fully automatically by the control system.

    Constant Peripheral Speed (V-constant): The integrated control system continuously adjusts the spindle speed as the grinding wheel diameter decreases to guarantee a consistently uniform grinding pattern.
