Hardware
Robust Base Structure: The heavily ribbed, heavy-duty cast machine bed guarantees excellent static and dynamic rigidity as well as optimal vibration damping during continuous operation.
Precision guideways: All linear guides are designed as V-shaped flat slideways. The ground and hand-scraped cast surface, in combination with a TURCITE-B® coating, ensures maximum vibration damping and the highest surface finish during cylindrical grinding.
Hydrodynamic guideways (optional): high-dynamic motion and positioning for applications such as out-of-round grinding
Ball screws (X/Z) & glass scales (X): The feed and longitudinal axes are equipped as standard with high-precision ball screws, and the X-axis features optical, linear glass scales for direct, high-precision position feedback (Z-axis optional).
Automatic CNC-Axis Extension (B/C-Axis): Flexibly expandable with a fully automatic, CNC-controlled B-axis (a spindle head that can be swiveled continuously, quickly, and with repeatable accuracy for external, face, and internal grinding spindles with positioning accuracy of 0.001°) as well as a high-precision C-axis for demanding out-of-round grinding.
Automatic Central Lubrication: A fully automatic circulating lubrication system continuously supplies the guideways and moving elements of all axes with lubricating oil, ensuring low-maintenance operation.
Safe Full-Enclosure Design: The standard enclosed cabin effectively contains emissions, ensures clean air in the workshop, and makes a significant contribution to maximum workplace safety during daily operation.
Flexible satellite handwheel: During setup, all axes can be moved with extreme precision using a mobile handwheel (selectable increments: 1 µm, 10 µm, or 100 µm).
Software
Proprietary G+H software: The intuitive, graphically supported user interface ensures that the machine’s control system is fully future-proof. Data entry is convenient, performed directly through a dialog, and requires absolutely no programming or knowledge of DIN code. Each parameter is clearly described using abbreviations, plain-text help lines, and graphics.
Maximized cycle chaining: Enables the fully automatic chaining of up to 26 different grinding operations per workpiece for complex geometries and efficient production processes.
Expanded cycle range: In addition to standard processes, highly efficient cycles are available for the most demanding tasks (such as Z-peel grinding, out-of-round machining, or thread grinding). A complete overview of all integrated cycles can be found below in the technical specifications.
Graphical Simulation & Collision Protection: Provides a precise visualization and pre-simulation of the entire grinding and dressing process directly on the screen to reliably prevent collisions with the dresser or the workpiece.
Integrated Workpiece and Profile Database: Enables virtually unlimited storage of workpiece programs (depending on hard drive capacity), as well as predefined digital memory locations for 100 grinding wheels and 40 dressing profiles as standard.
Automatic contour dressing: Supports complex grinding wheel profiles through integrated graphical creation aids and automatic, three-dimensional compensation of all dressing amounts.
