The precision rotary table grinding machine with a practical CB cycle control system for the efficient face and step grinding of flat, rotationally symmetric workpieces. All axis guides in the RT CB series are designed as ground and hand-scraped V-flat ways with a TURCITE-B® coating. This series was specifically designed for cost-effective single-piece and small-batch production in workshop environments and, thanks to the direct torque motor table drive, offers outstanding vibration damping for flexible grinding surfaces ranging from Ø 400 to 1,500 mm.

Hardware

Sturdy Base Structure: The machine bed, featuring a proven cast-iron design, incorporates an elaborate ribbed structure—for maximum rigidity and optimal damping properties.

Precision guideways: All linear guides are designed as V-shaped flat slideways. The ground and hand-scraped cast iron surface, combined with a TURCITE-B® coating, ensures excellent damping.

Torque Motor Table Drive: The worktable is driven directly by a torque motor with infinitely variable speed control. This ensures a constant cutting speed across the entire table surface.

Ball Screws & Glass Rulers (Y/Z): The transverse and vertical axes are equipped as standard with high-precision ball screws and linear glass rulers for direct position feedback—ensuring maximum positioning accuracy.

Automatic Central Lubrication: A fully automatic circulating lubrication system continuously supplies lubricating oil to the guideways and moving elements of all axes, ensuring low-maintenance operation.

Safe Full-Enclosure Design: Protects operators and the environment and ensures the highest air quality in the workshop. Since the standard enclosed design allows for the safe use of maximum machining parameters, you benefit directly from faster processes.

Flexible satellite handwheel: During setup, all axes can be moved with precision using an electric handwheel (selectable increment sizes: 1 µm, 10 µm, or 100 µm).

Software

Proprietary G+H software: The dialog-driven control system is based on a modern, computer-programmable system with a clear color screen that displays all axis positions and spindle speeds. Data entry is extremely straightforward via direct dialog—either numerically or using the time-saving teach-in method—and requires absolutely no programming knowledge.

Advanced cycle chaining: In fully automatic operation, up to 8 grinding cycles per workpiece can be conveniently linked and managed (with table rotation and cross-axis pendulum motion capable of being activated separately). A complete overview of all integrated grinding processes can be found below in the technical specifications.

Integrated workpiece and profile database: Ensures clear management and storage of process data for up to 100 workpieces (with 8 cycles each) as well as 20 grinding wheels, including their corresponding dressers. This guarantees minimal setup times for recurring jobs.

Automatic Dressing & Compensation: Program-controlled or manually triggered dressing is performed directly from the table. The control system automatically compensates for the respective dressing amounts to ensure precise dimensional accuracy.

Constant Peripheral Speed (V-constant): The standard speed control for the grinding spindle continuously adjusts the peripheral speed as the grinding wheel diameter decreases, up to the maximum speed. This guarantees an absolutely consistent grinding pattern.
