RT CNC

The high-end precision rotary table grinding machine with state-of-the-art CNC control for highly automated grinding processes and complex profile contours. All linear guides on the RT CNC are based on ground and hand-scraped V-flat ways with a TURCITE-B® coating. With variable table diameters ranging from 400 mm to 1,500 mm and the backlash-free torque motordirect drive, this model combines maximum flexibility with peak performance for the demanding series production and complete machining of rotationally symmetric components weighing up to 2,500 kg.

Hardware

Sturdy Base Structure: The machine bed, featuring a proven cast-iron design, incorporates an elaborate ribbed structure—for maximum rigidity and optimal damping properties.

Precision guideways: All linear guides are designed as V-shaped flat slideways. The ground and hand-scraped cast iron surface, combined with a TURCITE-B® coating, ensures excellent damping.

Torque Motor Table Drive: The worktable is driven directly by a torque motor with infinitely variable speed control. This ensures a constant cutting speed across the entire table surface.

CNC-Axis Expansion: The CNC control system allows for the flexible integration of additional interpolating axes (such as a rotary table with an electronically controlled swivel axis) or additional grinding spindles for vertical internal and external machining.

Safe Full-Enclosure Design: Protects operators and the environment and ensures the highest air quality in the workshop. Since the standard enclosed design allows for the safe use of maximum machining parameters, you benefit directly from faster processes.

Automatic Central Lubrication: A fully automatic circulating lubrication system continuously supplies lubricating oil to the guideways and moving elements of all axes, ensuring low-maintenance operation.

Flexible satellite handwheel: During setup, all axes can be moved with extreme precision using a mobile handwheel (selectable increments: 1 µm, 10 µm, or 100 µm).

Software

Proprietary G+H software: The intuitive, graphically supported user interface ensures that the machine’s control system is fully future-proof. Data entry is convenient, performed directly through a dialog, and requires absolutely no programming or knowledge of DIN code. Each parameter is clearly described using abbreviations, plain-text help lines, and graphics.

Maximized cycle chaining: In automatic mode, this enables the fully automatic linking of up to 100 grinding cycles per workpiece for larger production runs, with up to 30 grinding cycles that can be flexibly combined with one another.

Expanded cycle range: In addition to conventional face and plunge grinding, highly efficient methods such as multi-plane grinding for high material removal rates, as well as profile and contour grinding for complex shapes, are available. Graphical Simulation & CAD: Thanks to graphical support for profile creation and an optional, integrated precision CAD program, it allows the generation of virtually any grinding wheel contour. A precise pre-simulation reliably protects the process from collisions.

Integrated Workpiece and Profile Database: Ensures highly structured storage and management of workpiece, grinding wheel, and dressing data. An integrated USB interface also enables easy external data backup.

Automatic Contour Dressing: Automatic dressing of the grinding wheel directly from the table guarantees the highest precision. All dressing amounts are compensated fully automatically, while the retraction of the grinding wheel flanks for face grinding is controlled entirely by the program.
