Hardware
Sturdy Base Structure: The machine bed, featuring a proven cast-iron design, incorporates an elaborate ribbed structure—for maximum rigidity and optimal damping properties.
Precision Guideways: All linear guideways are designed as V-shaped flat ways. The ground and hand-scraped cast iron surface, combined with a TURCITE-B® coating, ensures excellent damping.
Ball-bearing-mounted rotary table (B-axis): The rotary table is designed as a precise B-axis with full ball-bearing support. This guarantees highly accurate and mechanically stable workpiece rotation during demanding grinding processes with high material removal rates.
Special Full-Enclosure Design: The work area is designed to be completely enclosed for protection. To maximize the containment of emissions and ensure the highest level of safety, this enclosure variant is designed entirely without viewing windows into the work area and without a door.
Central lubrication: A fully automatic recirculating lubrication system continuously supplies lubricating oil to the linear guideways of all axes, ensuring low-maintenance operation.
Flexible satellite handwheel: During setup, all axes can be moved with extreme precision using a mobile handwheel (selectable increments: 1 µm, 10 µm, or 100 µm).
Software
Proprietary G+H software: The graphically supported user interface allows for fully dialog-guided data entry that requires absolutely no programming and no knowledge of DIN codes. Geometric data can be easily entered numerically or directly using the time-saving teach-in method, while all axis positions, spindle speeds, and cutting speeds are clearly displayed on the screen.
Flexible axis operation: Enables the rotational movements of the table axis to be activated completely independently and separately, allowing the entire machining process to be precisely and individually tailored to the respective workpiece.
Automatic grinding feed: For maximum accuracy, the feed during the process can be controlled either fully automatically via a program or, for manual setup and adjustment tasks, finely adjusted using the electric handwheel.
