FS X50 GT CB

Precision surface and profile grinding machine with a practical CB control system for increased capacity. The linear guides are designed as ground and hand-scraped V-shaped flat ways. As an upgraded configuration for larger workpieces, this model is equipped with a grinding wheel measuring 400 x 100 x 127 mm and is designed for the precise grinding of longer components and medium-sized plates.

    Hardware

    Sturdy Base Structure: The machine bed, featuring a proven cast-iron design, incorporates an elaborate ribbed structure—for maximum rigidity and optimal damping properties.

    Precision guideways: All linear guides are designed as V-shaped flat slideways. The ground and hand-scraped cast iron surface, combined with a TURCITE-B® coating, ensures excellent damping.

    Ball screw drive on the longitudinal axis (X): This drive ensures absolutely backlash-free, powerful feed movements and constant speeds of up to 35,000 mm/min, even under high table loads. Compared to a hydraulically driven machine, this system is thermally stable, highly energy-efficient, and requires virtually no maintenance.

    Ball Screws & Glass Rulers (Y/Z): The transverse and vertical axes are equipped as standard with high-precision ball screws and linear glass rulers for direct position feedback—ensuring maximum positioning accuracy.

    Automatic Central Lubrication: A fully automatic recirculating lubrication system continuously supplies the guideways and moving elements of all axes with lubricating oil, ensuring low-maintenance operation.

    Safe Full-Enclosure Design: Protects operators and the environment and ensures the highest air quality in the workshop. Since the standard enclosed design allows for the safe use of maximum machining parameters, you benefit directly from faster processes.

    Flexible satellite handwheel: During setup, all axes can be moved with precision using an electric handwheel (selectable increment sizes: 1 µm, 10 µm, or 100 µm).

    Software

    Proprietary G+H software: The practical G+H user interface, featuring a clearly laid-out touchscreen, allows for extremely fast setup without any programming knowledge. Operation is completely intuitive via the ergonomic control panel.

    Graphically Assisted Data Entry: All relevant grinding parameters are entered and cycles are selected entirely via a menu-driven system using easy-to-understand, graphical input screens directly on the display.

    Preprogrammed grinding cycles: The software controls the automatic sequence of the selected process—including all firing times—with absolute reliability. A complete overview of all integrated cycles can be found below in the technical specifications.

    Precise axis adjustment: The vertical axis operates in automatic mode with the highest repeatability. For precise adjustment work, it can also be moved manually using a sensitive electric handwheel.

    Automatic dressing compensation: Cycle-integrated or manual dressing functions compensate for dressing amounts directly and fully automatically—ensuring uncompromising adherence to the exact target dimension.

    Advanced Cycle Linkage: Enables the flexible, logical linking of up to 8 grinding cycles for complex machining sequences in a single setup. A complete overview of all integrated cycles can be found below in the technical data.

    Constant peripheral speed (V-constant): The automatic speed control continuously adjusts the spindle speed as the grinding wheel diameter decreases. This guarantees a perfect, consistent grinding pattern.
